libdap-dev software package provides Development files (headers and static libraries) for libdap, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdap-dev
libdap-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdap-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdap-dev *
You will get with libdap-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
